Check of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum amplifier of brakes
The checks which are carried out without application of the special equipment
Step 1

At the muffled engine some times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake.
Squeeze out a pedal and, keeping its pressed, start the engine, at the serviceable vacuum amplifier the pedal should "fail" slightly right after start realisation.

Step 2
|
On one-two minutes will start the engine, then again it muffle.
Some times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake with usual effort, - if with each pressing the pedal course is reduced, hence, the vacuum amplifier functions regularly.
In case of problem revealing check up a condition of the control valve and a connecting vacuum hose, make necessary corrections, then repeat check.

Step 3
|
Start the engine, squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake with usual effort and, keeping its pressed, muffle the engine.
Continue to keep a pedal of 30 seconds pressed during still order, - if the height of position of a pedal does not change, hence, the vacuum amplifier functions regularly.
In case of problem revealing check up a condition of the control valve and a connecting vacuum hose, make necessary corrections, then repeat check.

Connect to the brake amplifier measuring instruments.

Check of tightness without loading
|
Start the engine and do not suppress it until depth of depression in the brake amplifier will not reach a point And = 66.7 кПа (500 mm hg), - a pedal of a foot brake do not squeeze out.
Muffle the engine and track vacuum gauge indications, - speed of decrease in depth of depression in the serviceable amplifier makes no more than 3.3 кПа for 15 seconds. At revealing of signs of infringement of tightness it is necessary to check up a condition of the control valve, a vacuum hose, to estimate quality of a welded seam of the case, to make sure of absence of damages of a diaphragm and signs of development of leaks through a plate, a sealant and тарельчатый the valve. Check of hydraulic pressure

At the muffled engine (depth of depression of 0 mm hg) squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake with effort 20 кГс should lift pressure in a hydraulic path to value 1177 кПа (12 кГс/см2), - consider the manometre indication.
Start the engine and wait lowerings of depth of depression to value 66.7 кПа (500 mm hg), then consider the manometre indication, - demanded value makes 6867 кПа (70 кГс/см2). The faulty vacuum amplifier replace.

Check of a condition of the control valve

Disconnect from assemblage of the brake amplifier a vacuum hose.
|
The control valve запрессован in a hose and a direction of its installation in the last it is shown put on a surface of a hose by an arrow.
Blow in a hose, - air should pass freely in an engine direction, подсасывание it in a direction of the brake amplifier it should not be represented possible. The faulty valve is subject to replacement.
