Power supply system checks

Before to start to performance of any repair-regenerative procedures, familiarise with the list obligatory at service of power supply systems of internal combustion engines of safety measures (the Section of the Security measure and the general rules accepted at service of components of fuel paths of internal combustion engines) see.

At revealing of signs of infringement of serviceability of functioning of system of injection of fuel, first of all check up reliability of a tightening of all штуцерных connections of a path of the power supply system. Make sure that a cause of infringement is not the elementary neglect to performance of procedures of regular service, - visually estimate a condition of an air cleaner and the fuel filter, make measurement of working backlashes of valves, компрессионного pressure in cylinders, etc. Make sure of passableness of hoses of system of ventilation картера (PCV).

If after carrying out listed above checks to reveal a cause of infringement it is not possible, drive away the car on HUNDRED for carrying out боле detailed diagnostics, - in the left back corner of an impellent compartment there is diagnostic socket DLC equipped with a protective cover for connection of the special scanner by means of which reading of codes of malfunctions (DTC), revealed by system of onboard self-diagnostics and brought in memory of the processor of the module of management is made.

Reading of codes DTC is alternative can be made by means of the personal computer equipped with a special payment with the established software, - for computer connection to socket DLC the special cable is used. By reading of codes the operator can easily reveal even the latent refusals.

Remember that any nonprofessional intervention in the device of a control system is interfaced by the engine to risk of irreversible failure of electronic components!

Check of turns of idling

Check of serviceability of functioning of the gauge-detector of a sediment of the fuel filter

Check of installation of phases timing (the injection moments)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn the engine in a normal direction so that the label 11 ATDC (11 after ВМТ) on a pulley of a cranked shaft was combined with the basic index.
  1. Disconnect топливопроводы atomizers from ТНВД.
  1. Remove with ТНВД заглушку a hydraulic head and establish on its place special циферблатный a measuring instrument so that it плунжер has rested against an end face плунжера pump assemblage.
  1. Consider the measuring instrument indication, - the demanded result makes approximately 2.0 mm.
  1. Cautiously turning a pulley of a cranked shaft in a direction counter-clockwise, achieve stabilisation of indications of a measuring instrument (an order 30 35 degrees).
  1. Null a measuring instrument and slightly turning a pulley to the right-to the left, make sure of stability of its zero indication in an insignificant angular range.
  1. Turning a pulley in a direction of normal rotation (clockwise), achieve initial combination of adjusting labels, - at correct installation of the moments of injection the measuring instrument should fix the indication 1 0.2 mm. In case of need make corresponding updating (the Section Adjustment of installation of phases timing (the injection moments see)).

Check of height of a working ledge of a cam of the device of adjustment of phases timing

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Execute check of installation of phases timing.
  2. Rotating a cranked shaft in a normal direction (clockwise), consider the maximum indication циферблатного a measuring instrument.
  3. If the result of measurement makes less than 2.2 mm, replace эксцентриковый a disk, or roller assemblage.

Check of serviceability of functioning запорного the valve (FCV) power supply systems

  1. Measure resistance between plugs N and I socket. If the result of measurement differs from demanded value (0.6 Ohm at 23 ), make sure available conductivity between plug N of a regulator and plugs № 2 and № 15 ECM, and also between the plug of I regulator and plugs № 1 and № 14 ECM. If conductivity takes place, replace a regulator, otherwise execute regenerative repair of corresponding electroconducting.

Check of the valve of management by distribution of the moments of injection (TCV)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from ТНВД electroconducting TCV and by means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between plugs To and L a contact socket. If the result of measurement differs from demanded value (11 1.1 Ohm at 20 ), make sure available conductivity between the plug To and the plug № 13 ECM. If conductivity takes place, replace the valve, otherwise execute regenerative repair of corresponding electroconducting.

Check of the gauge of position of the distributive piston (TPS)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the gauge electroconducting and check up correctness of distribution of resistance between its central and alarm plugs (А-С) and (А-В). Demanded value in both cases makes 82 2 Ohm at 25 S.Pri negative result of check make sure available conductivity between plugs of socket TPS and corresponding plugs ECM (С-46, В-53 and А-52). In case of need make regenerative repair of corresponding electroconducting, or replace the gauge.

Check of the gauge of turns ТНВД (Np)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Gauge Np socket is located directly over socket TPS. Measure resistance between the alarm plug of the gauge () and the plug of its grounding (). If the result of measurement differs from demanded value (1.62 0.16 Ohm at 20 ), make sure available conductivity between plugs In and From the gauge and plugs № 38 and № 30 accordingly the engine management module (ECM). In case of need repair electroconducting, or replace the gauge.

  1. Check up resistance between plugs of the magnetic valve. Demanded value makes 8 1.2 Ohm at 23 With.
  1. Make sure available conductivity between the case of the magnetic valve (-) and the plug From an electronic regulator (GE).

Check and adjustment of the gauge of position of a pedal of gas

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature.
  2. Measure pressure between plugs With and Е the gauge on single turns and on full gas. In the first case the result of measurement should make 0.3 1.1 In, in the second: 3.68 5.0 Century
  3. In case of need make corresponding updating for what disconnect from the gauge electroconducting and щупом лезвийного type measure backlash size between the lever and an emphasis, - demanded value makes 0.45 mm.
  4. At negative result of last measurement check up conductivity of the gauge, - it should take place, otherwise release clamping the screw and make corresponding updating.

Checks of atomizers

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove atomizers (see Has undressed Removal and installation of atomizers).
  2. Checks are made with application of diesel fuel with order temperature 20С.

Check of starting pressure of opening of a nozzle

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect an atomizer to a special tester.
  1. Working as the pump handle of a tester, remove from an atomizer air.
  1. Slowly lowering the tester handle consider indications of the manometre connected to the pump, - the indication should be read out at the moment of the beginning of emission from a fuel atomizer. If the result of measurement differs from demanded value (150 кГс/см2), make updating of the moment of the beginning of injection by selection of an adjusting washer (1), - washers are issued in 27 variants in a range of thickness from 0.50 mm to 1.54 mm with step of 0.04 mm. The additive in 0.04 mm provides increase in pressure of injection approximately on 4.8 кГс/см2.

Check of tightness of landing of a saddle of the working valve

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check also is made on a special tester.
  1. Create in an atomizer pressure in 115 кГс/см2 and make sure of absence of leaks through a nozzle. In case of need disassemble an atomizer (see Has undressed Removal and installation of atomizers) for nozzle washing, or make its replacement.

Check of a direction of injection and эпюры dispersions

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect an atomizer to a tester and remove from it air.
  2. Disconnect (muffle) a manometre and some times sharply lower the pump handle of a tester, visually defining a direction of emission and a configuration of a stream of the fuel which is pushed out through a nozzle of an atomizer.

To lower the pump handle follows with the greatest possible speed, - the atomizer should publish a characteristic whistling sound.


  1. Fuel should be sprayed by an atomizer in regular intervals with a narrow corner of disclosing and in strictly coaxial nozzle axes.

Check of the executive mechanism турбокомпрессора

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the executive mechanism турбокомпрессора air шлаг and connect instead of it the pump equipped with a manometre.
    Check of serviceability of functioning of the executive mechanism турбокомпрессора, - the rod (1) should move smoothly
  1. Create in диафрагменном the case of the executive mechanism pressure 760 800 mm hg and with the help циферблатного a measuring instrument плунжерного type (DTI) measure size of a course of an executive rod, - demanded value makes 1.5 mm. At negative result of check replace assemblage of the executive mechanism.

Giving on the executive mechanism of excessive pressure can lead to a diaphragm exit out of operation!

Check of an intermediate cooler of air of pressurisation (Intercooler)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Visually examine the heat exchanger интеркулера, checking it on presence of cracks, deformations and other mechanical damages.
  2. Check up tightness of the heat exchanger, having submitted to it air with superfluous pressure in 1 кГс/см2.
